why not consider 1inch strut spacers?

for such a small lift i dont think a body lift is economical.

1 inch body lift is to lower the CV angle down. I intend to put bracket under the front shock so bigger tyres can be put on. But to do that, minimum 65 mm is required and that's too much angle for CV shaft. Any ideas guys?

Frogstar didn't actually do it because it was too much work. It is possible but would be costly if you don't do it yourself and if you do do it you may as well do more than 1". Also it would not be legal in Australia to do that. If you just want 2" of lift for bigger tyres then look at 2" strut top lift (lifts everything) or 1" strut top lift and raised springs. Both legal in Australia without an engineering certificate. Plus thbis would allow you to fit 29" tyres (215/70R15). Also with a Subaru you wouldn't want to go much bigger with tyres because then your ratio gearing would be an issue.

You could just do combination of 2" full body lift and raised springs. This would give you 1" more clearance under the whole car and 3" more under the body (3" total lift plus tyres). Then you could add huge tyres. Plus wiht modifying your struts you wouldn't want to make sure you know what your blo0dy well doing otherwise it couldm make the car extremely unsafe. Possibly resulting in a roll if a strut broke while on the highway for example.

Anything is possible though it jsut depends how much money you have :D

Just my 2 cents worth though.

Is that becuase they are stock liberty height? Also if you added 2" strut tops do you have to remove the 1" body lift or the 1" strut tops of that body lift for the new ones?

Thanks guys for quick replying.

I like to keep the non-HD spring, it suits me fine. Have been thinking about the 2 inch body lift kit ( no extra clearance ) or 2 inch strut lift ( 2 inch extra clearance ). I prefer the option 2 but it seems no one is making 2 inch strut top for gen 3 outback only for forester.

Anyone know good metal fabricator in sydney who can do this type of work ( strut lift with provided drawing ) ?

CHeers,
Contact Dave on here. He does 40mm lift blocks for Gewn 3 OB but will do a special order for 50mm (2") strut lift blocks if you ask. One of my mates is going to buy them through Dave on here. I think the price is about 350 plus postage.

You can contact him here: [email protected]

or try giving Jeff a call over at Crossbred Performance. both very helpful, fiendly and knowledgable.
