Strut lifting, need suppliers
Hi all, this is my first post ever, i own a 2000 Outback H6, ive been snooping around this forum reading about lifting my car for offroad use, i plan to do exactly the same mods as this member:
showthread.php?t=18284
My car is even the same colour:p
I would like to know who is Dave? The guy on this forum selling the lift kits? I can source the king springs, sump guard and bullbar myself the only link im missing from the puzzle is the strut lift kit and i can't find anywhere on how to contact anyone who is selling them:( Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If no answer from Dave . Try Crossbred Performance for a lift kit or strut lift.

I emailed them about a week ago and got told $700 for a lift kit for my car:(
Is there anyone else still in business who makes strut lift kits for my car?
I found these on ebay, but they are made of plastic:P

The Crossbred kit is a full body lift kit for the whole drive train which is why its $700, many more parts to it than just a strut lift.
Subtle solutions do 1" strut lift blocks, basically the same as those plastic ones on Ebay.

I've got a few i can choose from now, yay:) I've just enquired about the bullbar and sump guard from subaextreme so hopefully they will be on their way soon, king springs will be getting ordered this week, has anyone done a king springs, strut top combo before and had any issues with cvs wearing out early etc?
Yes Jeff from Crossbred does do 2" strut lifts as well as full body lift.
I'll be adding 1" Outback strut lifts (factory) to my raised springs. Perhaps sometime in the future i'll do a full 2" body lift but this will do for now.
rear CVs should be OK as theres hardly any angle in em now but the fronts have a lot of forward & downward angle so could be an issue.
Note that it is essential you do a full wheel alignment afterwards by someone who knows how to do it. One place I went to didnt even know the rears in a Forester have adjustable camber! & its his job!!!

I think you will be glad you did...i am lol. The extra clearance is great but the big surprise i found is the better handling onroad. It is a little bit harsher but not much. Also the stiffer springs help support the car better so i dont expect to bottom out much or at all, esp with a load in the back.

Yeah and after i just ordered my bullbar and sump guard 5 minutes ago the only thing that has bottomed out is my bank account:(
Going to order king springs from Ripco now, the lift kit can wait till i have some funds later on and if i really need them, now i need some advice on bigger all terrain tyres:)
