i know this has been asked before but i just wanted everyones opinions on the advantages and disadvantages of both, keeping in mind il be going to a 27" tire, thanks in advance

Easy, Lift kit from C R O S S B R E D P E R F O R M A N C E . Ya cant really do a suspension lift in a brumby. If put tailer springs in front, aligment cant be set due to not enough adjustment. And of course , if you can find any coil springs in the back of a brumby , you are better than every one else.

A lift kit , a guard cut and 27" tires is what most people do and it is easy and trouble free.

Didnt think about cambers, how hard is the ********* kit to fit?

It is pretty much self explained. Raise an end of the car. undo one bolt at a time and replace with new bolt. Reason for this is , to not allow the panels to twist and make it hard to line back up . Don't forget to undo the steering first when doing the front. Then take each bolt out and place lift block in . Only major part is bending lip of fuel tank so one of the lift blocks can fit . That is basically it. Brumby kits are the easiest to fit.

No they are not. Unless it is an l series.

if you know someone handy with a welder i have templates for the strut lift to buil mine cost me under $100

You'll be chewing through CV shafts before you start enjoying your lift if you go with strut only or larger strut than body block sizes.

The later subi's - lib onwards gets away with the strut only lift due to the track being wider than the MYs and Ls - this reduces the angle of the CVs compared to the MYs and Ls (greater angles).

Go with the tried and tested full lift kit - body and strut. Take your pick between 2 or 3 inch lift. With that said I reckon the 3 inch would make it easier to fit the 27s under the subi

I would suggest going for a 3" lift all round for 27" tyres and cutting away parts of body panels that will intefer with the wheels when turning.
