Wagons and Sedans have different rear struts in the Gen4 but can't remember what the Gen4 sedan ones look like. I've only worked on a few Gen4 GT and Outback wagons of late. Ask for some pics of the rear ones

yehm im aware the rears are different in a wagon. They have a 3bolt strut top and the sedan has a 2bolt (wagon is alot bigger diameter spring too)

i'll ask the seller

im just going by what my outback had and making the assumption. (now im doubting whether my outback had a 3 bolt strut top haha) i cant remember anymore

I did contact the seller of these items and they are from a sedan.

Im still making up my mind on what i should do.

Last Friday I spoke to Subaru, I asked them if the rear struts has 2 or 3 bolts on Gen 4, On all Gen 4 does have 2 bolt on both Wagon and Sedan (which is good for me as I have a set of rears that I want put in our wagon and both sedan and wagon struts are the same). He mentioned that Gen 3 has 3 bolts on wagons and 2 bolts on Sedan and he also said just swap the hats over.

Having just swapped rear shocks in my 01 outback and 99 lib there are only 2 bolts up top. 3 for the fronts.
