All aftermarket ones I've seen never have the height adjustable threads on them and I doubt you'll get genuine ones anymore

I would need to jack the front of the MY touring wagon up but I seem to recall its front struts had nuts on the top which I hoped would allow strut inserts to be fitted like I used to do in the 80's to Datsun front struts.
Is this what the nut on Subarus front struts is for or just for a strut internal rebuild.
Are strut inserts still available ?
