Buying a used L series lift kit

Post by fishboy » Sat Apr 06, 2013 12:01 am

I'm thinking of buying a used lift kit for my L series and I was hoping someone could eyeball this photo for me and tell me if it looks like it's a complete lift kit? I don't know much about em but I'm sure some of you might

Also, what would you expect to pay for a used lift kit such as this?

For starters - it is missing a lot of bolts unless all your bolts in car have an extra 2" length ?

I've a brand new lift kit coming in the mail for my Brumby from CBP soon.

I'll post a photo of that when it comes if that will help.

Other than missing bolts it feels to me as you're missing more parts.

I'll dig in my computer to find pictures of a lift kit for an L-Series I sold about a year ago.

Well this is all of it how I sold it.

The bloke who bought it seemed genuinely stoked so I think it was all there other than the front suspension spacers...

bolts you ought to replace with brand new ones anyway.
More seriously the steering extension is missing, and thats probably
the hardest part. Could use a non-welded uni joint extension,
which is what i had on my past l series.
or if welded should come with an x-ray result to be compliant I think!
A bigger pic and more angles would help in scrutinizing that kit tho.

definitely all the bolts, extended steering knuckle, bump stop extensions and gearbox stay rod.
