Hey guys might be a dumb as question however I'm wanting to know if you would be able to bolt gen 2 lib/outback rear end suspension under a gen 3?

Is there that much of a difference between models in regard to body attachment points?

Will.

Nope won't work. Sorry...

Are you wanting more suspension travel from the multi-link?

The above comments are correct, Gen 3 strut tops has two bolts whereabouts gen 2 has 3 bolts holes.
Gen 2 coils are wider/bigger than Gen 3. Gen 4 suspensions are better than Gen 3 - will work from Gen 4 to Gen 3.
