Leaking Rear Strut

Post by cerebro » Sat May 18, 2013 5:28 pm

Gday,
I've a leak on my rear right spring.
04 Foz XT
I'm wondering if I should replace the leaking strut, or upgrade all four.
Any suggestions regarding brands, part numbers, retailers would be appreciated.
I'm not looking to lower the height, but a little lower would still be fine. It's a daily driver that cruises around the Blue Mountains.

you will get away with just replacing both rear, as usually if one is stuffed the other isnt too far off!

as for brands KYB is the most popular with people on the forum.
ive used monroe shocks which are good also

I'm finding it hard to source replacement struts for the self leveling suspension

As far a I know you will have to go genuine if you want self levelling struts. Otherwise after market will be just as sufficient and doesn't require and other mods to change from self levelling struts.

Thanks for the info.
I'm thinking of saving a little and going with these.
