Lifted Vortex

Hey guys, I'm looking at doing one of two things to my Vortex down the track, either lower it down low as or raise it and beef up the suspension. What is the chassis like in a Vortex? I know it's not a off road 4wd but if I raised it and beefed up the suspension would it be able to handle going off road a bit, nothing hard, I'm talking beaches and good 4wd tracks.

It's pretty much exactly the same as an L series wagon, except the wheel arches have even more clearance for big tyres.
Any suspension mod or lift kit upgrade you can do to an L wagon, you can do to a Vortex as far as I know.

I'd recommend a 2 or 3" body lift kit, and some 14" wheels with 27" tyres. To beef the actual suspension up, just look at renewing it with some new shocks and springs.

2 inch lift kit from an "L" series 14 inch sunraysias with 215/65/14s and an EJ22 with cut down harness. now all I need is the bash plate and perhaps a little nudge bar or a shaped roo bar.
