L rear k frame into brumby

Post by $tando » Wed Aug 20, 2014 8:21 pm

Can it be done
After reading 30 pages about found nothing
This has started

I have a 1990 brumby with ea82t and 5 speed
I'm needing the freedom of an l series rear k frame and set up

I'm running the air shocks at the moment from an rx sedan with the brumby torsion and it's not bad but I have no flex or movement inderpendantly

My question is
Do the bolt holes line up or is the l series wider ??
Also will honda civic coilover sockets match the brumby hubs ??

Cheers

Crisis averted
The L series frame won't fit
So all I can do is lower the resistance of the torsions and run L series shockers and springs

The front cool over idea is still being chased

I believe mark2 VW golf or 95 honda civic also run a coil over with a 44/46mm diameter inhub coilover
I'm still researching this but if so
They should fit and all that need to be fitted is correct top plates and positioning

Ask Toonga about running the L springs in the rear of the brumby, I'm sure he's done it and didn't like it.

But you might find something that works...
