Front shock brand advice please

Ladies and Gents.
The outback needs new front shocks. I did 5000km last month and it was obvious...

Who makes the factory subaru stuff? Is it worth it?

What aftermarket brands are people using? I don't mind paying a few more dollars for good stuff.

Look at KYB shocks. I would have thought them to be a good Suby shock replacement.
