83 Coupe rear shocks

I have completed a ej 20 AWD 5 stud conversion to an 83 Coupe. Wanting to keep the ride height where it is, I am after a rear shock that is shorter in length that will bolt into original spot. Has anyone fitted shorter shocks to a coupe or sedan after lowering it. I am interested in what shock absorber was fitted? Any assistance would be appreciated.
