Torsion bar factory lift?
I heard from a mate that you can lift the rear of an l series wagon by turning some kinda bolt under the rear seat. Anyone done this? is it a useful feature? i will have my new (old) subie l series tomorrow, complete with cheesy eighties graphics and I can't sleep at all.

I think the stepped collar on the rear struts was only avaliable on the 85-86 model wagons.

Heres a pic, they are like motorbike adjustable shocks, these are on the 2nd setting muffler clamped to stop the collars pulling over the lugs.Matatak wrote:i beleive his may be a 1990 so definetely no wind up in the Torsion bar.

only the my wagons had the bolt under the back seat, so your coupe wont have it, but you can still wind them up by taking them out and turning them 1 spline on the shafts. 2 turns if you want more lift, but if you turn to far the ride gets to stiff.
I rather be 4wding in my Subaru buggy MY body with 600mm cut out. EA82T dual range (1.59/1 ) twin hand brakes, welded rear diff, 12.5 wide atv tyres.
