Genuine are nice but don't seem to last longer than the $10 jobs :)

I found my cheapo ones from Malz lasted a month or 2. I will buy em only from Coventrys now.

OEtiker make a good boot in my experience and a subie specialist workshop in town had shelves loaded up with them.

then there are Brumberty Boots, possibly near the trialling stages of R& D

It will be no surprise however my ovte is for using genuine boots and mine have lasted for ages… mind you mine are not constantly covered in fluid and grease n crap. To date I have been very lucky and also not torn a new boot while 4WDing.

This being said though I have recently decided to experiment by putting the Coventries boots on the rear shafts (only) as they are less prone to damage/fluids/grease and way easier to change should they be damaged.

Talking to the Mech at John French Subaru Brisbane and her tells me that if u have lift kit u will have to have good boots or get used to the idea of replacing the boots which from my experience is a very messy job. Good Boots -Well I'm yet to find good ones.
