My 2 cents is Kings Springs and KYB struts (a search of this site may uncover/answer this question for you as well - sorry not sure if its on this board or older versions).

Yep I'll second that, KYB's and Kings is a great and affordable option when talking about replacing the "suspension" of a car - ie, struts and springs.
Note that these aren't really designed to actually raise the car however they most likely will - your old suspension will have sagged a fair bit if it's worn out.
You said you want 3" lift....this means you'll need to get a "body lift kit". BYB sell them on these forums (I think about $400?) , other brands are also available.

i just rung King Springs for my OBW 97 and they quoted $160 an end for 30mm spring lift no shocks. they said Repco is as cheap as anywhere to buy them.

$160 for a set of 4? Thats cheap... (other wise I've been quoted for $220 for set of 4 raised springs from Bursons)
