Hi guys, I've notice on these forums that a lot of people are putting L series control arms on the front of brumby's, but I haven't found a thread that says why? I'm assuming they give more castor as people also say that the front of the wheel arch needs to be modified to clear the tyre. Do they also increase negative camber? If so, what model should I look for as a donor to get a set for my brumby?

All l series are the same as far as i know.

I have this done to my brumby and few other things. Come see us anyway i know where to get all the parts in Townsville, excluding the control arms and castor rods depenedant upon the ones you want. Thats why i should have a chat to an engineer. PM Sent aussie_guy00000.

Yeah Matt, i'll have to have a squizz at your brumby sometime. I'm going to get a crossbreed kit, and if it's worth while i'll source a set of L series arms to swap instead of my brumby ones. It will eventually be a track car, so I'm after a bit more camber and caster. The plan was to complete the EJ20 comversion and get it on the road and engineered, then look at some extensive suspension development, but if I can improve it some straight off the bat, all the better.

Although mine isn't set up for track work, i will take to for a spin and show what they are capable of. Also i have adjustable camber in the back now to. The front is setup with Adjustable Camber and Castor. I can dial in what i want..... Did you get my PM aussie_guy00000, you could possible swing around on the weekend or i could swing around yours. Give a Buss and we will work something out.

I have just completed the drivers side with the L series lower control arm..the wheel is standing a bit straighter and further out....

Question:- I have yet to source radius rods for this:

I know some have used threaded rod and falcon rods...

What does the L series rod look like???

Also, I went to school with a fellow who is now a mechanical engineer in townsville. His name is Lindsay and certifies vehicle alterations. I went to a school reunion recently and he gave me his card. Might help some of you blokes in Townsville. Tell him the guitarist sent you...here is his card

Thats crazy small world, he is one of the engineers i was suggested to talk to!
subybrumby L series Castor Rods are to short (also not adjustable) so you will have to either modify some Brumby/MY ones to make them adjustable or modify XD falcon ones. "Cameron" off the board was making them at one stage but i don't know whether he still is.

Lindsay Stone, his old man was the Bank Manager in Gayndah. Lindsay and I went through high school together. Didn't know he was into cars but there you go!!!

lol, Lindsay is the one that will be doing the mod plates for me as well. I know him from my time at Bob Hawkins Performance (Car Connection), I also did my degree with his son and live down the road from him. Sorry I didn't call you today Matt, I was flat out painting and doing yard work . I fly back out the mines on tuesday, but will be back next week, i'll give you a shout then. Cheers Craig
