Fitting a strut brace

OK you ricers out there, just say I came across a strut brace and wanted to fit it to my Liberty (hypothetically of course). It looks pretty simple to do, but really, how do you fit it? Is there anything you need to do in a certain order, or how tight to do the bolts etc?

 Hit me with your knowledge...

undo the top strut nuts , put the strut brace one and refit the nuts easy as that.

That's what I figured. How about the nut on the bar, does that have to be tight at any place, or should it actually apply pressure outwards (or inwards) on the strut tops?

Hypothetically speaking of course...

MMMmm I would think outwards would be what they are supposed to do .
