Liberty to the rescue

Post by yarney » Mon Dec 29, 2008 5:12 pm

I was driving along a forest track in the rain yesterday when a guy waved me down:???:
I had a look and there it was a Nissan patrol stuck on his belly:) not the right recovery gear (no shovel a small 20mm ratchet strap a 50mm ratchet strap and a snatch strap with only one loop):(:(
I forgot to mention it was raining too
It amuses me why people don't carry the right recovery gear with them when out 4wding
On the other side of the coin i wouldn't get videos like this if they had the right gear:D

Bumping this one up because I've got some related pics. Don't think Tommo has had time to post them up but we had a similar experience with a patrol out at Logan on the weekend. hehe.

To be fair it was my mate in the Patrol and it was his first time. We hadn't let down the tyres yet either (didn't stop the subi getting through in front of him though :P).

Good one Cam:) how was it? I see that sticker on the back of the Nissan. Tom will have to get one saying (Nissan recovery point) on his L series It doesn't matter who drives a Nissan if a subie pulles it out that deserves bragging rights:twisted:
