My Brothers Brumby

Post by SuBaRiNo » Sat Dec 01, 2007 9:14 am

Thought i would just chuck up a quick pic of my brothers brumby. We fitted a 3 inch lift kit to it last weekend and it now has 27inch tyres on 14s.

Rims are apparently L series factory optioned 14s. He swaped them off some dude for one of my old ea81 alternators. BARGIN!! Offset on them is VERY good.

His name is Chris and yeah he is coming to the BBQ and is VERY keen to go offroad.

Those wheels are a huge compliment to that car!, like the decal and love the black on the bottom side of the paneling.

..Those wheels are... something really to be jealous of, they look great :D

See if it has a tail gate next time. He currently has a little net as a tail gate.

I think he does work around there some place but im not sure.

Random thought,
Do Brumby's have a terrible blind spot or something? It struck me today how rare it is to see one without massive dents in the tailgate! Wonder why they always get that way.
I'm guessing it's proving pretty hard for Chris to find a good replacement.

Andrew, yes they do indeed have reasonable blind spot - one of those cheap blind spot mirrors is a worthy investment

very nice brumby - esp like the wheels as mentioned

Looks the goods. Re the tailgate, a cement mixer coming over the front of a trailer when you're going down your mates driveway doesn't help.(in mycase)

well I've heard a few people say that a ute isn't a ute without a dent in the tailgate, and aswell as the blindspot reversing up to trailers plays a role in this too.

The brumby is currently off the road... turns out the police were not too fond of there being no tail gate. So it has to go over for a roadworthy... which it wont pass.

I have my doubts if it will ever get back on the road... might be a cheap brumby available in Perth soon.

Damn that's bad news - What do you think will be the tough areas to pass it on?
If it's rusty let me know, I'm pretty handy with bog and touching up paintwork from my younger days with my old Toyota...
I also have very recent experience with the pit inspections.
