EE710533992AU AUSTRALIA SLOVENIA Your item arrived at the international processing centre in SLOVENIA - LJUBLJANA at 16:11 on 18 Jul 2008, and is awaiting clearance for delivery processing.

Yes, you read that right! My lift kit took a detour to Slovenia!!! :-)
It is no wonder things get lost at times. The car is looking good. Bigger tyres now maybe?

Thanks!

I just put a new set of Yokohama Geolandar AT/S on today. 215/65/16. They are bit bigger than stock, but leave me enough room between the tire and the Rally Armor mud flaps so snow and slush won't get jammed up in there too often.

Looking real good now mate, with the lift kit in it makes the car look like a off roader,
it just looks a lot better now that it's sitting up a bit, the hole car looks BIGGER.

Nice job mate, looks good.

Finally getting a few minutes to post up some additional pics.

One of four rear carrier spacers.

Image

The installation starts with a trolley jack under the rear carrier. Loosening the carrier bolts and lowering the carrier about 3 inches. Spacers go in, bolts go in hand tight, rear A-arms are loosened, spacers installed, bolts snugged up. Struts out, spacers on.

Image

Gearbox spacers go in next. Same process, lower with jack, install spacers, bolts in, back up.

Front installation is pretty much the same as the rear.

It helps to have friends around to lend a hand with putting things back together.

Image

Or in the case of the steering coupler, pulling them apart!

Image

Of course, it helps to keep a positive attitude and a smile on your face!

Image

Issues encountered were a stripped bolt hole, four rear carriers bolts that had to be cut down and a steering coupler that had to be cut and re-machined.

Results with 1" suspension lift via King Springs and 2" body lift via Ausubaru spacer lift:

Thanks to all who gave their time, support, encouragement, took some of these photos and provided advice along the way. Will keep everyone updated on the next adventure we take with the Superu!

Certainly does look better now! What exactly was the issue with the steering coupler? Seems very strange!

Steering coupler was too long. Not sure if there was a difference between right hand and left hand drive Outbacks, but there was no way to make it fit without cutting it down and welding it back together. It's good now! ;)
