Trolley Jack

I'm trying to find a trolley jack at a reasonable price (~$150). A decent one, not one of those dicky little ones lol. I got mine from Repco but it doesnt lower smoothly. No matter how careful I am it "drops" the car, not good when trying to gently lower onto stands. The other factor is it must have a reasonable lift, at least 400mm.

If its from Repco, you will have a warrantee, ask them first, might end up with a new one for free.
Or you can pull it to bits and polish the release valve and seat.

I've already swapped it once. Called them yest & they agreed to a refund. Apart from it "dropping", ie not lowering smoothly, its fine.
Had a look at the parts drawing, there's a screw release valve & an o-ring, so I'm not sure if I'm capable of improving that.
If I can find a reasonable jack, I'm happy to just return it.
I also dropped in at Autobarn today, there "Orcon" brand was the same, wouldnt lower smoothly no matter how slowly I turned the handle

Unlike the crap Repco one, this has a very smooth action & lowers the car gently & slowly
