MY10/11 Factory headunit with massive mp3 filesystem?

Post by Haioken » Thu Jan 13, 2011 7:49 am

Hi Guys,

Does anybody know what the maximum folder tree and file count on the factory headunit is?
I've got 1700 mp3's, in 87 folders and it seems like the randomization is only playing through approx 10-15% of my music (All of which is MP3 or WMA compatible audio.)
I'm hoping the restriction is on folders, in which case I'll simply remove the individual album folders etc. and reduce the tree size significantly, but unfortunately the owners manual gives me pretty much no useful information :(

Thanks heaps guys.

Haydz.

Perhaps ask someone at Kenwood or Clarion, depending on the model of the unit?
