hi guys ,just bought a late 99 outback limited , seem to have problem with factory fitted stereo , displays letters "accs" ,tried tuning in channels for radio but keeps jumping back to accs same thing if i put a cd in ,indicates there is a disc in but wont play ,,jumps straight back to accs ..... any ideas ??? thanks in advance .. khanacross

Your stereo is security coded and the car has had its battery disconnected perhaps? You need to find the factory security code to enter for your stereo and failing that purchase a new stereo.

In case you need more info, security coding is an anti-theft feature.

Pretty sure no Subaru radio has a security code

Yes, no security code, I'd say an accessory feed is missing or the head unit is faulty.
