Gen III lib stereo

yo,

im looking seriously into a Gen III lib RX at the moment. I looked at one today and noticed the head unit seamed to be a tiny bit narrower than a standard din space.. is this true? or should i get my eyes checked?

If it is narrower what have people done to fix this

it is a poofteenth too narrow

I had a pioneer in my lib that I had to remove the factory surround. Stereo was so deeply mounted that it wasn't obvious unless you looked for it though.

Removing the dash fascia is a whore.
