l-series stereo wire colours

Post by Alex » Wed Jul 18, 2007 7:12 pm

hey all,

so i stuffed up when i pulled my good deck out the l-series to shove into the liberty. Just wanting to know which colour wire is the power and which is the accessory wire? The only wires i can see at the moment is a white, and a black with a red stripe. Any help would be much appreciated

or else i'll just run afew new wires to the battery and to the ignition barrel

cheers

You do realise u will still have to know which wire is the right one to run a wire from the ignition barrel. hook up one of your neons to the wires to use as a test light.

The serious answer is yellow is normal constant power (comon to have a 10/15A inline fuse) and red is accessory power.
