Turn down the volume?

Maybe add some rubber washers to the mirror mounts

Perhaps the adjustment set up behind the mirror is worn... or your door is internally rusted along the top inside where the support brace is for the mirrors. Or it's like my Hatch and the doors are imported so this support beam is actually missing... meaning you can't do stuff all else but get an Aussie spec door for it.

Is it doing it both sides? You do realise that if your stereo is up very loud there is no actual way to fix it... it's called reverberation.

Dunno about brumby mirrors rattling, but the ariel cable inside the rhs windscreen post rattles like mad at 1/3 volume in my L. Just spiffed up the roof lining to stop rattles there. As said above maybe able to tighten something, why not go custom? (god forbid but how about xf falcon mirrors?)

i have an xr8 ute and my mirrors vibrate as well... but that is defiantly the stereo that does that, dynamat is the bomb makes speakers sound better louder and noise deadens as well. catch is it aint cheap

Isn't it better to have somewhere for air flow otherwise it would start distorting the outer skin and start to make it reverb and unfortunately its not the aerial as its no longer in the factory position and I might check the inner door brace too because its only the right side that does it and you never know.
This was a little tricky to find at first because when I turned it up the shed used to rattle too!

I might try the dynamat as well because its a fair bit cheaper than the speakers that are in there But anyone else who has a targa top knows you need all you can get when flying along at 120 with the roof off.

I have that problem too, But i also get the interior light cover to fall off and the headlights rattling. i fixed the mirrors by adding the rubber washer to the mounts as suggested.

For those wondering how to get good sound in your brumby even a wagon and the map pocket finishes just at the back of the seat so you can still reach things plus you can reach the seat controls on the side as for the interior light its been butchered too but thats another chapter But that headlight rattle would annoy the absolute hell out of me

Yes Jarrod but remember you had a sub and when it pushes 140db you expect it to rattle. Oh and very neat job on the door. =)
