Hi,

I'm Dave from Fremantle WA. I had a Subaru wagon whilst in the USA (1980s) and bought a 01 2.5L Outback in 03. It's been great and we recently upgraded to a 06 model.

Just found this forum today after being part of a stateside forum for a number of years. Found that forum to be a bit confusing sometimes due to the different names/models they seem to have over there.

Cheers,

Dave

Welcome Dave, do you have a mini moke?

Hi Bumpty,

Yep, got a Mini Moke, although its in retirement at the moment because of house renovations and lack of garage.

It's not an off-road car though....I use in for Motorkhanas, so it's fairly low.

Cheers,

Dave

Hello, from England. It's 4 degrees and the rain's stopped for a few hours!

I've recently bought an '06 Outback SE 2.5 automatic and joined AUSubaru as web-based information on modern Japan-built Outback/Legacy models is difficult to find, only about 800 Outbacks are sold in UK each year.

I'm hoping that the similarity between UK-market and Australia-market Subarus will help IF I get problems.

Welcome. It is a long time since we had any one form that side of the globe sign up. Do you mind posting up some photos of your car so we can see if there is any thing different in the models?

It'll take me a while to figure out how to get photos in but I'll have a go.

Hi all,
Recently joined up and thought I should say g'day. My names Andrew and I live in Canberra.
My passion for Subaru's extends back to my very first car - a 2nd hand 1980 4wd wagon which, despite being horrible mistreatment by me as a teenager, survived in the family until a few years ago.
My current Subaru is an MY02 STi done up very nicely by AVO in Melbourne.
I'm in the processing of selling it at the moment so that I can fulfull my dream of owning and renewing a Subaru Vortex now that I can use 'mid-life crisis' as an excuse.
This site certainly appears to have a fantastic forum and membership - and I will certainly appreciate any advice and assistance anybody can offer me as I shortly go through the process of buying a Vortex (looking now) and bringing it up to a level of glory the model deserves !
Cheers

If any one has troubles with the board at all, take 10 mins to search the admin section. There is a heap of posts in there about common user troubles. Posting pictures especially.

Feel free to use the sites gallery to host your images too. It can be found here.

Hi Koo and welcome.
So you're selling you're 2002 STI and buying a Vortex to restore?
Hope you get some change with that trade-in!
Keep us up to date with your Vortex when you get it.
There's more than a few closet Vortex fans on here.

Hey, My name is Andrew, I am 19 and live near Geelong, I am in the midst of getting a vehicle and think that a L-series Wagon would be a good little car to get, I lack in knowledge of the beasts but would like to gain some... I have read the forums a little bit over the last week or 2 and thought it would be a great place to start.

Cheers Andrew
