It's definitely possible as I remember seeing somebody selling an L series wagon on this forum which was actually running an EA81, had photos and everything. Can't find that via searching though unfortunately.

As far as I know, and can imagine, it's quite a simple conversion. I don't have a great deal of experience with EA81's though so can't offer specific advice.

If you get an EA81 from brumby of the same build year as your L series it should be a plug and play with the wiring.

Shove on a larger carbie and you'll have a bullet proof engine that'll go for ages so long as you don't overheat it!

And they're simpler than an EA82 - less bolt on parts to go wrong ;)
