Hey
I have been a member for a little while now but havent posted yet, some of you may already know me from the Two Rocks trip or the Red Hill trip.

I have a Subaru Imprezza Wagon 99
So far I have put on new 17" rims, a new stereo, sub and amp.

I havent had many problems with it apart from my radiator exploding and just this month my knock sensor became faulty.

Since I first got the car I havent been able to decide whether or not I wanted to lower it or lift it... BUT since meeting "Degenerate" and seeing his Imprezza I have decided to lift! :-D

So I have a few things now on my to do list...
*2 inch lift
*Small but mean roo bar
*Bucket seats
*Proper roof rack
and then some superficial things like a new paint job and new interior :p

baby steps first,
once i finish getting the lift kit and such i may consider upgrading to a turbo motor, but as for now my husband does all the work on the cars and im still his little grasshopper (learning) haha

hey,
Nice car, would be cool for you to join us on trips in your own car, Driving is so much better than being the passenger:)

I'm also looking for a N/A impreza wagon for a mate who want to lift it.
the easiest and cheapest way of lifting your car without installing a lift kit would be using Outback shocks.

You can see what those members have done

Theres a guy who had a green lifted wagon with outbacks shocks but i can't find the post..

Anyway enjoy:)

Nice looking hatch you have there Subagurl ;)

I'd use the old rims/tyres for offroading. If they need new tyres then maybe look for higher profile and bit extra width for the beach work.

New Outback shocks are around $150 bucks each and can be fitted by most mechanical places.

Welcome Subagurl

Very nice hatch. Would look veeery nice with a lift lol ;)

Would go better offroad too. The Outback struts are a good idea, will give you a 1" lift & extra wheel travel! then you can decide whether you want a lift kit as well, maybe just 1"...or 2" lol ;)

Road tyres do well on the beach, but higher profile give a better footprint on the sand, just dont handle as well onroad...pros & cons lol.

The turbo would be nice but is a major mod. Have a look at Taza's supercharger project. Let him sort out all the bugs & then consider that

Yes as long as they were Non-Turbo Forester ones.
