Geez you boys are keen, thought you might take a little rest. But it works for me if your keen to soldier on.

Info for all - The Boys are going to take care of the body work and make her look pretty again and then minus engine gearbox & diff she comes back to brizzy to have a V5 STI transplant dropped in.
The frontcut is waiting at a mates place while she gets her SUBIE BOYS treatment, Im not in any rush, Im just keen to have it neat and rust free.

Re the dealership repair thing, a mate of mine was a panel beater for a firm out in western Queensland and often touched up and repaired vehicles that were brand new for the show floor. As said, they were often damaged in transit. Buyers never new the difference....

yeah their not the only ones Standard practice from what ive heard plus if the owners car turns up damaged from order and they don't have time to fix it if the customer doesn't notice they sneak in a repair when they do the first service.

We are starting on the brumby slowly. As we need to do some work on our own cars aswell, but thought we can do abit here & there on Chris' car until money allows us to do work on our own inbetween. We also have to relocate some of Steve' stuff that he has in storage. So we are tied up in all directions at the moment. Should be an interesting few weeks I'd say.
Thanks everyone for your posts so far they are keeping us motivated as with the wagon project.
Watch this thread for some interesting posts.

Hi to all! well the brumby is now on the cooker as we call it. This is set to make things so much easier[ there will be pics later by one of the boys]. Steve & Ross have been busy making the brackets to swing it off, that was finished today. Rick has gone away for a well earned rest while the other two plod along slowly.

thats probably not how you spell it but you know wat i mean, wish i had made one when i did mine so much easier to work on when u can flip the whole car upside down. actually made one for a mate last year he is doing up a plymouth road runner so it was just a little bit bigger than yours (road runner prob weighs more stripped than a complete brumby.

Awesome job fellas. Just thinking would be cool to be able to roll the whole thing around on small lockable wheels... garage looks a little tight for room thats all. Just thinking out aloud. Nice work

Slowly but surely things are moving forward. I am starting to take the paint off and ross is starting to straighten the panels out.

How long do you estimate to do, say the outside shell of a brumby with the swirly brush? Or do you use something else to strip paint as well?

It should take about 4 days with the wire brush then we go over with sand paper. A sanding disk is used where there is any filler or dent removal is done.
