Is there still a lot more rubbing back to do to smooth out that orange-peel effect in the paintwork?

Yes there is . I think there is 3 spots to refresh. One of us is away and the two that are here are moving on with other items on the car. At the moment i am working out as much of the wiring of the add ins as i can with out the dash in the car. Ross is cleaning and freshing up the rest of the outside items( mud flaps , mirrors etc) .
As for quality of our work, it is the best we can do with the knowledge we have . Not one of us is trade qualified in any field . We just have a passion for these cars , that is why we do what we do.

Is all the spray work done with just that gun? If so do you have any preference for that over, just a gravity fed gun?

99% of the spray work has been done with a gravity gun. Just got that one working again and gave it a try out.

As we couldn't find a good enough dark gray ( charcoal ) dash , i decided i had to give up mine. So today we spent taking my dash out and getting things ready to start to go in . Out side is almost finish so it is time to start on the inside. Trying ideas to put some color inside other than just the charcoal.

Coming along nicely. Have you tried recovering a dash? Like, say, the one I gave you?

Only one prob with using the one you gave us, i don't think there was one in the load of stuff you drop off. If there was , some has claimed it . One of those claims that are in the middle of the night.

Really? Maybe I've still got it here. I cant imagine why I would keep it though, I wouldn't put a standard dash in any of my cars. If it's still here I'll bring it next time I come over.

The rear bumper and toe bar are now on the car.

I got into the accessories wiring . tried to make scene of it all

Ross cleaned up some of the interior pieces ready for the time for it to go in and put some more color on to match the other pieces.

Today i spent some time tidying up the wires and started putting the dash together. Checked all the bulbs in the cluster to make sure they all worked and stuff like that , Until called on to help ross do the extension on the shed. Once finnished , there will be another bay to put parts in . Subie parts that is.

God I love the colour on that dash and centre console looks great, not half as good as that rear bumper.
