Come on now, don't be like that...or we will have to send Dave around to give you a hug.

Reckon we've whored up brumbyrunners thread enough yet ??
Wonder if he has made any progress.

Nah I doubt it, he is off buying weaponry.

Just means we like you. If you have a nick-name that is. Those that don't have nick-names are just grouped under the one name and the swear filter won't allow me to say it here.

That looks fantastic. Never did like the whole "34 inch TV set sitting on the passenger seat" look.

I'm in Darwin. I'll contact you when I get home.

Nothing to report on the racecar progress I'm afraid.
I hope to get back into the shed early in the new year.

In the meantime, I'll be following the Dakar which runs from the 3rd through to the 18th January.

And a fellow International fan. Hello Tex, I thought only the Backyard Boys ventured down to this old thread!

It looks like the change in Continents hasn't hurt the Dakar at all. 550 entries or something? Bruce Garland has the only Aussie car team that I know of so I'll be looking out for him in the coverage. I would love to go, even on someone else's team, but with a young family, it's gonna have to wait. Baja 1000 is a more realistic option.

Yeah? Didn't hear anything about that. They don't appear to be in this years entrant list.

I have NFI what it would cost to do the Dakar from here. Every time I talk to Garland about it, he just says "they're telephone numbers". He's always had big sponsers for the big events. Even when he's invited to an event to lift it's profile.

I just hope that SBS holds out enough for us to watch it every night - we have pretty dodgy reception out our way :(

By the way, doesn't this thread with all its whoring go against the Ausubaru forum rules?! Thought I'd drop that in here even though I know its between mates

Cheers

I've had it for years.
Also try Dezert People 1 through 5 and Wasteland Warriors is good too.

On the subject of movies, I received the 2008 Finke video last week. Very disapointing. Wouldn't even bother watching it again.

Finally got on top of all the building, gardening, wiring, plumbing and concreteing jobs that I've been putting off and got back to the end bay in my workshop.

I started on the pass. side swingarm but decided to move the outer mounts further out for a better angle. Had to scallop a bit more out of the car on the ends of the mounting tube but I'm a lot happier with it now. Brumbies are just so narrow. This is going to be tricky.

Watching the Dakar causes changes in your thinking! Gordens Hummer only has 1 shock per corner and doesn't seem to be suffering because of it.
