link to second video.
same corner, opposite direction.

I have some in-car footage as well but its not very clear. It's not even worth hosting yet. I do have some hand-held, from the pass. seat camera footage which is very clear and actually shows how rough the road is while the rollcage mounted camera shows the same road as being smooth. I just have to learn to edit it. It shows the speedo doing 140km/h which translates to the car doing 170.

Yeah, but it's not too bad. The rear LSD is not doing it's job properly but it is only viscous. That corner is flat graded, bulldusty and really wide for roadtrains to turn on. Its slippery so you slide real easy. I've got some good footage of landcruisers and stuff doing donuts there too.89rsturbo wrote:sounds sweet , went a bit wide on the second vid lost of under steer hey??

Sure but don't expect miracles. The suspension is still basically stock.BYB-01 wrote:You do realize you have to give us a demo when we are there in a few weeks time don't you?
And there is a bad surge at WOT that is annoying me. Could be running out of fuel in the pod but it does hold 4 litres. Other than that, all I can think of is the ECU.
Perhaps Dave can get his dash logger to work! That would be sweet. Then I'll have to give it back.
And you're at least 10 weeks away. I need to time to order in all the burbon and kill the fatted calf.

Bugger. My next video is 120MB which is over the utube and livevideo hosting limits. How do you resize or shorten a movie file? It's saved as an "avi" if that makes any difference. Failing that I'll just have to shoot some more footage. It's got a lot of wind noise that we have to learn to block out and it shows my face being pushed back by 170km/h wind which is pretty funny. Yeah that's right, no helmet.
A simple way to block out wind noise is a sock or thick piece of cloth across the microphone. I am sure some could host the video for you?

try Kate's Video Cutter - it's freeware, a pretty simple prog, will read your avi files and you can 'cut' any section of the file you want to have as stand-alone and save that bit to a whole lot of different formats (including just back to avi again)brumbyrunner wrote:How do you resize or shorten a movie file? (no, i'm not associated with this product, i was just looking for stuff for exactly this purpose last weekend because my cam saves video as .mov and i wanted to convert it to flash video myself... incidentally, found riva to do that
