Guess who had fun with a grinder and hacksaw this morning.........
Jim and I have got the new detachable front worked out well. Motor is now out with out having to pull the whole car apart. Once the rain stop I will push it out and start rebuilding the front. When Jim gets back with bits we can swap the gearbox and have it ready for the new motor.
The Wilbur bits can go in this arvo - hopefully - and then the motor in tonight. Leaves all weekend to re-wire, handbrake it and other stuff.

It is coming along very well. New gearbox is in. Motor is in with new plugs, timing belt and oil seals. Power steering is done. New CV's are in. Tailshaft is ordered.
Dave is bringing the TIG over tomorrow so we can reshape the plumbing for the radiator. The original set up we had obstructs the fuel lines.
Jim is getting stuck in to the front end tomorrow. I am sorting out the harness.
Every thing is going very smoothly so far. Let's hope it stays that way.

Wahfreakingwho. It runs. Jim had a quick drive in it today to test the gearbox. He is very impressed with the ratios and the throttle response. Excellent torque right from the get go I am told.
Some minor wiring still to complete, like dash and front and rear lighting. The front end is just about completed with the detachable set up.
Thanks to Jeff at Crossbred for a new instrument cluster today too.
Sounds like the boss man is keen to see it. He will be here Tuesday to make sure we haven't stuffed things up.
