for off road try some dirt motorkahnas or rally style events, less bumps and you learn to get close and choose a line

Yeah big fella, he cracks me up too.

Filled in the gap between the new inner guard and the OE mudguard inside the tray. Next time, before we build the rollcage, we must tub the entire rear wheel arch just like we did on the front. The end result would be neater.

The tailpipe facing out over the spare tyre and fuel tank was worrying me a bit in the event that overfueling might have set them on fire.
To fix this I've re-routed the exhaust so it exits in front of the passenger side rear tyre. It now runs closer to the rear firewall where it comes through the floor...

...and across the tray with the muffler now where the battery used to be...

...then down through the inner and outer skins so that it comes out here.

Looking good Stuart.Just wondering, all this work is it going to ride more like a buggy?Watched the Finke 09 dvd and the little bit of brumby i seen it looked like it was bobbing up and down,normal right

+1 Side exhaust. would look fully with a riveted stainless plate around it. (have thought about this too

Don't really understand your question Will, but I'm always trying to make the suspension work better. If it's bobbing up and down then I'm probably not going fast enough.

bobbing up and down as in bouncing?? or as driving?? im confused too.
specially with the brumby you need a lot more suspension travel and thats gonna be a lot of work and money.
i saw an idea in dirt action magazine a while back, sliding axles, was planning on making a bodge set for my old go cart but fell though, maybe worth looking into.

By "sliding axles" I presume you mean telescoping driveshafts?

Did you come down in the last shower?

The DOJs have more than enough travel for the driveshafts. The limiting factor is the angle that the DOJs and CVs will handle.

He always has Dane with plans of eventually doing the Aus Safari and vehicle need to be registered for that.

That pipe is around about where Dave and I originally wanted to run it but Stuart thought it would have been too noisy. I suppose now knowing how quiet the car actually is it will work well there.

My only concern with it there is the hot air the radiator will draw from the exhaust but it is nothing some ducting for cold air won't fix. The fans will also now have to run to draw the air where before it had plenty of flow. Not a problem, we just have to make sure the wiring is perfect.

Be confused no longer.Imagine a boat in the ocean with a bit of swell.Now imagine a brumby going over woops doing the same motion.Now go watch the finke dvd and see the buggies glide over the woops,well except for the ones that went for tumble.Do you get the boat thing or do i need to make it more car related?

Still need the airflow through the cab for the radiator so no glass yet. Just lowering the CoG and improving rear visibility. Even got a mirror back in it now so the camera had to move over a bit.

I've got the navi over for the week so we'll get some stuff done.

Today we got the battery, water pump, and fuel system relocated.
