He said he was.
I'd better get the all the names and logos and organise the space on the car. Kinda sad to cover that paintwork up though.

I'd go something nice and simple, maybe in a white so its not overpowering the paint colour, but that is me.

Thats a whole lot of gold, once it's covered in mud it'll look like a big fast violet crumble ;)

Looking good, well on it's way to being a monster.

I doubt there'd be an engineer in the land that'd sign off on my modifications.
So at this stage no.
I do still have the ability to put all the glass back in and use original seatbelts though.

Few more photos.
The ute tub just after painting. Wiring and fuel lines masked up on the primed rollcage.

Washing those wheels would make it look fuller sikker you know.

PS the SS pipe work is FULSIK

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Even the proper crook ones. Do you think I should leave the grill out of it for the FULSIK factor? Washing the whole thing would be good. It's sitting at an engineering works surrounded by a bunch of blokes welding, grinding, plasma cutting and makeing dust. I'll finally get it home on May 12th and wash it before the stickers go on.

Soobeit - What in the world would you want to swap me for my raceute? Your Prado?

Tonight I spoke to the CAMS scruiteneer who did the pre-race inspection and he is very impressed. Just have to wait for them to post the logbook and I'm ready to rock'n'roll.

Also the in-car set-up is on it's way from the US. Uses a hard drive recorder in a water & dust proof case with a cage mount for the camera
I've never had one before so I'm looking forward to scaring friends and family with the footage. It's a shame we didn't have one in the old class 2 buggy. The brother end-for-ended it 3 times and if he could have got it back on it's wheels he would have kept going. Would have made for spectacular viewing.

Has anyone got a 15x7 Superlite that they want to loan/hire/sell?

I cant seem to find any and as I'm going to swap to 5 stud soon I don't really want to spend $800 on the 4 in the for-sale section.

Failing that I will take a 15x6 if anyone wants to loan/hire/sell it to me.
