haha yes I will put some oil in.

**Progress update.
Tonight I started prepping the engine bay for respray.
Got the front part in primer.

Edit - also picked up some more parts today.
- new front disc rotors, slotted
- new ball joints
- some new EFI hose
- I ordered a new water pump for the EJ20, just incase the one in there is worn

Picked up the new water pump and gaskets from Subaru this morning. Also got a new thermostat and some rocker cover gaskets (there is some oil around there on the motor). The pump was surprisingly cheap, only $112.

The tailshaft is in at a local tailshaft place getting shortened, uni joints checked and replaced if necessary, and balanced.

I've ordered a new turbo front driveshaft (I only had one good one in the shed).
Soon as I get this driveshaft I'll be able to slap the front end together (Install Lib power steering rack, replace wheel bearings, install new discs, put in new ball joints etc).

I will run the stock 13" RX alloys to pass it over the pits but then I'll get rid of them and change to 14" Sunnies (as I have a spare set). RX's look awesome with those fitted at standard or lowered ride height.
Later if I go Crossbred I'll just have some kind of WRX mags I expect.

Some more progress;
Bit more engine bay now in primer. It's tough work getting rid of 22years worth of oily grime and residue!
This morning picked up 4litres of white paint to eventually do the whole car in. Changing the colour slightly, no more Subaru "Milky White". It's now getting Subaru "Arctic White" which has a very subtle hint of blue in it as standard - very crisp and bright.

Also this morning I've put a standard EA82 radiator (Thanks Matt!) in to the radiator place to get upgraded to dual core, brass tanks and correct size/angle inlet and outlet pipes.

I've got a few current pics to post a bit later.

Only got a few hours into her this weekend.
Progress went backwards on the engine bay respray, discovered I'd been using the wrong kind of undercoat, had to strip it off using thinners. No biggy, my surface prep is still intact underneath. I'll spray the right stuff on again shortly.

Installed the 4.111 Viscus LSD in the rear end.

Separated the EJ20G from the frontcut's crossmember and control arms etc. I'll get it on the engine stand and get to work installing the water pump hopefully tomorrow. I'll be doing the timing belt too while I have the opportunity.

Progress tonight;

Moved the motor into the garage and put it onto the engine stand. Cracked the crank pulley off and removed the timing covers.
I've removed the timing belt and water pump, got new ones to replace these with.
The crank pulley oil seal appears to be leaking slightly so I'll get a new one tomorrow. The toothed idler pulley bearing seems quite marginal so I'll get a new one from Subaru tomorrow too (ouch...I think these cost about $100!).

what are u doing about the Wiring. gonna copy the Wagons Loom??

get a Timing Belt Kit. aftermarket one. is heaps cheaper and has the idlers and seals included. MUCH better value. not worht going genuine i dont think.

Yeah I am doing the timing belt, got a Daico one. Not worth getting the full kit in this case as all the idlers are fine except one.

Wiring loom I'm going to try and do myself copying the wagon's and WackyBug's one. Might need some pro help on this but I'll see how I go.

Put a new rear main seal in as well while you have the engine out, you'll curse when it leaks later on!

Hey PeeJay do you have a list of the specs of your RX and a bunch of cool photos?
I've been having trouble getting heaps of lovely pictures of RX turbos to inspire me!

Did some more tonight.
Some seam welding in the engine bay...made abit of a mess of this but it's comming up fine with a fair bit of work with the grinder. Should be alot stronger than the standard Subaru spot welding!

Fitted the power steering rack.
