Just to clarify...I certainly don't "intend" to roll it....thats just dangerous!
I just want the thing to survive easily in the event that it did happen at low speed.
ahhahah the words andrew and low speed just dont work!

Some more progress this evening;

- Flywheel got all holes elongated (god dam my arm is tired from all the filing now!) Flywheel is torqued up to the back of the EJ22 with lok-tite and all.

I'll give it a quick wipe over with some fine sandpaper but thats only a couple of days' light surface rust on the face there from a bit of exposure.

- EJ power steering lines had the rack ends chopped off and MY ones attached today ($15 cash, bargain job!), the lines are now in the buggy and tightened onto the rack.

Maybe tomorrow I'll mess around making the adaptor plate.

Knocked up the adaptor plate...

In their infinite wisdom Bunnings no longer supply metric taps over M8 in size so I have to wait till tomorrow to drill and tap the holes at the top.

Bloody hell, you knocked up that adaptor plate quick!

Is that a dummy gearbox or is there no dual range?

Benny yer thats just a single range 4spd that was lying in my yard (Tristan you lazy bastard!). Using it as a template to make the plate.
I couldn't be bothered removing the dualrange 4spd from Buggy, may aswell leave it in there and just fit the motor to it when I'm ready.

Yer at most I'll test drive it up the cul-de-sac for a while....but shes definitely not going offroad until the roll cage is welded in.

Just picked up the clutch today and got a metric tap for doing the threads on the adaptor plate.
Might have a crack at fitting the motor this arvo then.

Nah its okay - put her on a flat road and she's straight.
But yeh, no offroading until theres some bracing!
