Bald Rock & Rabbit Fence Run

Post by yarney » Tue Feb 12, 2013 4:08 pm

On Sunday 17th February
Drive along the Border and Rabbit Fence track through to the Granite Belt heading to Bald Rock
The drive could be a bit interesting :) with approximately 30km of dirt track with all the flooding around the area if we can't get through there is an alternate way to get there

Bald Rock is a large granite outcrop rising about 200 meters above the surrounding landscape. Measuring about 750 meters long and 500 meters wide this is the largest granite monolith in Australia

With great views around the area it is not an easy climb, but worth it for the views. You don't have to do the climb

You won't be home before dark

There is a $7 park fee per car per day
Meet at Hungry Jacks Beaudesert 7:45 am
You won't be home before dark
All welcome
Phone me for more details 0404459610

I'm impressed to see a Tribeca offroad.

Never seen one anywhere other than schools, nursing homes and shopping centers.

How'd it do?

Nice photos!

The Tribeca did well.:D
Did get bogged once. At the same spot the Forester was in the earlier photos ... I'm told it's a learning experience.
Apart from that the car was a pleasure to drive and a fun day.
This is the third time off-road with a club activity.

Cool! You're the first story I've heard. Hope to see more photos of it someday. :)
