Found a few cracks and leaks in the extractors and Paul kindly welded it for me. Did a great job:p

Also happy to report that the engine has been back in and running since about a week ago. Had a leaking thermostat gasket but thats about it.

Now i need to get new rear bearing and rear arm bushes for the rear and i should be able to drive the car:D:cool::twisted:

Hey guys,

Little update.

I got a special gearbox mount made and freshly powder coated. Only cost me $10 to prime and powder coat it.

Image

Also when Paul came home to have a quick look at it, It was suggested that sensors could be to blame for the alternating idle. So i took one of them out and gave them a clean.

Next i'm gonna drop a Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner when i get a chance to buy one and give the inside a good clean.

Also took the car for its first test drive. Man that thing goes very very well. SOOOO happy with it. BIG BIG BIG difference over the EJ22. I know Andrew was saying that it wouldn't be that much different but now that i drove it, i totally disagree. However i must say that having driven my bro's RS a few times, if it had a EJ20t, it would have went a lot more, And can't wait to drop one in the vortex...
Back on the river for the photo soot:p

Went for a short drive and the car got a few looks and turned a few heads

Thx, I'm very happy of how it turned out. Of cause these a few little things that need to be finished off. The front suspension is like expected very hard. Great to drive on the road, love it but i think i'll have to get normal springs put in as i'm not sure how it will react off road:( guess i'll find out...

Noice! and how's it sound exhaust wise? Powder coating cost explained, what about the special bracket make cost?

You said one of the sensors, did you mean injectors? Or is that a sensor I am yet to discover?

Awesome Guy!

I especially like the enhanced rear departure angle! Any changes going to be made there, first drop off and that canon is GONE! So I say you need to find one pronto  Only because I'm not a fan of the canons.

Looks the goods, I hope it does everything you want it to and more offroad! I'm envious.

Cheers

I still haven't seen any pics of the build (kn Asia) but hopefully soon, if it sounds as good as the old one leave the cannon there.

Thx guys,

I knew the canon was gonna put you guys off. I'm still keeping it:) I still have to add the rear wheel carrier and special towbar and i think it will be less obvious with those.

The note is a lot deeper since i changed the pipe from2 to 2.5 from the cat back.

You can have the bullbar when you buy the Brumby, its for sale...

The bracket was exchanged for parts:) Injectors are fine:)

Next i need to figure out how it behaves offroad so i can decide what to do about the springs...

Guy it looks great you just need longer swing arms on the rear to bring those wheels back a bit.

As for the exhaust system don't let it bother you when I can find some time Im getting 2.25 from the cat back with a hotdog/milo tin? on the vortex
