And before you go fitting it back up.. try and see the reason why it snapped in the first place. I'm thinking missing vibration bracket but hard to see from your pic.

Whats the vibration bracket?

Yeah frog quoted me about $20-25ea. But the old one are the ones with the metal ring and look fine so i'm not sure yet. At the moment i'm super low on cash:(

The little support bracket that goes from the block across to the turbo.. I'm not 100% sure the EA82 has it but look under the bonnet of your brothers RS and you'll see it or even that EJ20T in the shed.

Yeah i remember unbolting that when we replaced my bro's RS up-pipe. And yes its definitely missing. Is it a big worry? Would it last about 6 to 12 months without it?

Depends on how good the welds are.. and that would depend on how good the steel pipe is.

Ive got the turbo exhaust pipe with turbo and the bracket.

Ok so got the welded exhaust back. New gasket on and took me 1 1/2 to bolt the ****er back! man i struggled!!!

Anyway thats the turbo ive got, No shaft play at all from the exhaust side. Also the inside looked very clean so thats always good...

Also got my new Acrylic Rear windscreen on the car, Basically i first cut out a template out of carton sheet. Then bought an Acylic sheet and cut it with a jigsaw. Next got the heatgun and bent the sides to shape and Voila.... Cost me close to $100 instead of the $986 from Subaru. This will last till i find a cheap replacement rear glass...

Putting back the interior...

And Voila....

I put the 13 sunraisia on as i only got 3mags and the space saver on the car when i bought it. Its doesn't look that bad i recon. Now i need the door trims to finish swampy..

Pretty impressive rear window job , gotta say.

VF28506 on the turbo - looks like the 8506 is year and month - has been on mine.

If you suffer some unexplained electrical problem - just ask your inquistive little mate there. A quick snip with that beak while you were not looking, just tidying up the new nest hole

Got tips on cutting acrylic with jigsaw ? Speed, blade etc ?

I always seem to bugger that job up splitting things, blade gets hot and sticks things etc

Kerosene is a good lubricant to stop acrylic from overheating. a thin line in front of the blade applied from a sauce bottle stops 99% of the problems.

Guy is the windscreen perspex or polycarbonate?

and well done now I know I can do the same thing if I ever have the need.

I just got a blade from bunnings and gave it my best dry. Unfortunately as you said i cracked it in a corner:(

Also went to a washing station and got the bottom of the engine cleaned:)
