Little update,

Got my new Foz shocks, Installed Used Kings springs that i was on a liberty and had the car a tad bit higher so i guess it should be fine. Also the cool thing about the springs is that they have a narrow top:)

Also my 3month old Heavy duty Foz/outback king springs are for sale. $100pr

Yep, its not a secret anymore:( since its been done and tested a few members know about it:) Works great. A lifetime of thanks to the friend who helped me with them. Another thing that should get a copy right, same like the rear locker taza is trying to build:)

That will be done... Once I can continue working on it.
The beginning of this year has been flatout. Plus the s/c install which I will finish first.

They aren't really worth the the effort/cost for the amount of L's that are left.

Next time home, I'll get them up on the market but getting lots of heckling to do other work.. g/box builds.. etc :mrgreen:

Got my new boots from Allan's cv joint. $40 fitted each side including parts:p Ohhh thats me bringing the joints over to him. Only bad news is because off the off-roading some sand started to **** up one joint. They were the joint that came with the front cut so i decided to just fit the new boots on them and see how long the boots and the joints last. If the joints fails before the boots i'll then get all new ones as i know the boots will last long enough:)

Ok so i just got the car back on the road and took it for a drive... OMG!!!! drives as smooth as a AMG:p lol Nan but much better, smoother ride:)

From my previous measurements of the Heavy duty raised H6 outback springs on lib shocks, from the lowest point of the bash plate, i had 252mm of clearance.
Now with the used lib shocks KFFR-19 and the new foz shocks, i had 280mm but thats without letting it settle.
After the drive i now have only 210mm:( I guess the springs must have had it.

I'll have to give it a go off-road and see if i really need to get new springs:)

I giggle eveytime i picture your sad faced car looking up at mine when it was parked next to it.. ;)

Seriously tho. I hope they dont bounce like mine did when it had the standard impreza shocks in, mine was like a snow plow. But everytime i went over a bump offroad it would come down and almost bottom out ay.

I found the extra 25mm I added a couple of weeks ago seemed to make it just that bit better in the soft stuff, I went from about 215 to 240 but have about 270 in the rear from memory under bash plates.

That banging in the front of mine turned out to just be a broken weld on the r/h sway bar link lol.

HI guys

I need some help as im lost. I've called king springs to try and find out the spring ratings and see what to use on my car.

The really hard springs i had were the KSFR-32SP. From what the sales man said i can use only those springs to fit my shocks.
Below are the details respectively.

Springs
kSFR-22
KSFR-28
KSFR-32SP
KSFR-32

What i don't understand is how come the KSFR-32SPthat i had and turned out to be very very hard have a lower spring rating than a shock thats supposed to drop the ride height by 70mm with 70pounds more?
Not sure what to do anymore.
The used spring i changed to at the moment have a rating of 130pounds from new

Ok,

I've been on the phone three times with king springs, a very helpful sales man and kinda understand a bit better now. What was happening is the KSFR-32SP on a liberty shock are not made for each other and i was getting what they call a Pre loaded or toping out shock. And that now with the new KYB forester shocks it should reduce this and be much better.

I might get even more height as the foz/outback shock has a higher spring seat. If its too high then i've got two options, drop to a KSFR-32 that has 5pounds lower and will drop the car about 20mm or use a two inch strut top instead of 3inch.

I've also learnt that the Std L front shocks have 220pounds which is more that the ones KSFR-32SP but apparently the shock valves are different thus making it appropriate to the car. Hummmm, way trickier than just bolting shit together!!!!

Anyway i'm happy to try the KSFR-32SP i had on the new shocks as i won't be spending:) and hopefully it gonna work:)
