Ok so i finally got them in this morning.
Really happy with the height:) I now have 62mm between the wheel and whee arch and 322mm from the ground to my diff plate. Only thing i'm not sure is if they will last. Again, Only one way to find out:p

Now the next step is to figure out the bump stops extension and with the new gearbox i'll be step to go camping/offroad. its been SO long...

Anyway some pics...

Don't say things like this!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put the spell on me.... Touching wood, touching wood....

But all in all its got a two inch lift kit and stock (from different cars) suspension parts. And my young days of hooning around are over. Only thing left to do is get rid of the canon as that will attack them...

haha im not trying to bag out all your hard work (i can appreciate it) but most lifted l-series' still look in proportion and cops dont really know what theyre looking at...yours on the other hand.....

still a brilliant effort though :)

Agreed, Looks bloody amazing.

You should get a photo of it next to my stock L-Series for some height comparison pics. lol

I think once the cannon is gone (removed or ripped off ) then it shouldn't be a cop magnet. They would probably just think its a normal 4WD.

Your over the hooning stage so thats not an issue.... unlike myself ( my L-series racing a mates Outback on the freeway lastnight )

So the end result was due to the silvia (exact model was??) strut and what spring have you used in the end?

You've got me thinking now... maybe.

Looking good though mate, it still rides well? What sort of angle do you have on the CV's and have you got the rear bar fitted with spare and full jerry can yet? That'll bring it down a little bit ;) Not a bad thing!

Cheers

Not sure on the year model. All i know its from a Silvia lol.

I'd still go with the screw adjustable type ones if they were cheaper or if i can get a cheap set. I've used the normal L series king springs. Not hard at all. Same to what i had with the civc springs. Very happy with it. Hopefully they won't fail.

Put yeah if you have 3 inch strut lift and you get the screw type Silvia rear Coilovers than you can use the civc springs.

I know between the different model skylines and siliva's you can have different hight ones. I'll try and figure out from what sylvia mine came from.

cv angle is more than before. Not sure how long mine are gonna last. The rear cv's are the only thing that hasn't been changed or replaced since i got the car 4-5years ago:)

hard to tell in those pics but looks like those struts have integral bump stops?

you may not need to bother extending the factory ones.

Fixed

I'd be splitting a bit of pipe and using exhaust clamps to hold it in place, or maybe carrying it with you as a stronger fix.

Looks most excellent.

What is your reverse light output like, looks like the hinges on the bar might block them a little? Or is the work light on the roof wired into them?

Yeah its kinda blocked but i have the three little lights on the bar, one reverse, one brake and one signal light to compensate.
