What are we spotting? I'm confused.

Was that some ken block style or just a really loud exhaust with a high revving EJ?? And were you meant to swerve around like that? Looked good none the less, got any more videos of your L in action?

Cheers

Those hills were much steeper than it looks, the tracks were so rough that they just threw the car wherever they wanted to cos you needed a pretty quick run up.

Yeah I understand that - all of my videos don't really show the steepness of what we're on no matter how hard I try to get it right!

Always fun - I only asked because it looked like he was either out of control or picking a certain line ;)

i think it was infact not a spot, but a stop. as in "stop spamming my thread" :P

man, the difference in acceleration between that and a stock L is unbelievable! now even more keen to get this ej out of the lib and into the L...

good luck for the rest of your build Guyph, cant wait to see it in action 8)

Hehehe... Someone should get the macca's "M" symbol made up, ~10 or 15cm high should be a good size.

Then stick it on his subi when he's not looking and wait to see how long it take for him to notice it if he ever does!

I hope you won't get confused as to what you need to check under the bonnet, the universal colour for this is... Yellow, which also happens to be part of the colour scheme for your maccas wagon!

I'm pretty impressed as to how far along this thing is, and I'm jealous that I've not had any shed time recently, just waiting on a package from frog!

Keep up the good building work.

Cheers

Thx, There's plenty left to do, like getting the gearbox built, Finishing off the liftkit, and more.

I'm aiming to get the engine started this weekend or the next depending on dave's availability and if i can get everything ready:)

How much extra did you have to pay for the thumbwheel ? If you look it will have a nissan logo on it - can get them from nissan wrecks for virtually nix. Of course it won't have Centre Diff written on it but will still work exactly the same. If you want a manual controller you can also buy a PWM (pulse width modulator) kit and build one yourself for about $50.

Or you could do what I did and get a Subaru controller with the complete gearbox

But yeah I believe these DCCDpro boxes are pretty swish in auto mode.

Looking good Guy

Hi guys,

Did some more work on the car. WHAT have i painted now???? LoL

First thing first, I got board working without musik so i made a Mauritian style Radio to keep me company, Works great:mrgreen:

Image

I started to work on the rear parts of the car. Removed the old lift kit. And yes for those who remember, i swapped the old trusted umbrella stand for stronger car stands!!

Image
Image

Next i cleaned the under-car with a high pressure karcher, let it dry and gave it a fresh coat of paint. No neither RED or YELLOW, i stuck with Grey Underbody coat paint:)

Next was to copy the 3inch kit and make my own 2 inch kit., $11 worth of bar, $8 to cut them from the supplier, and some great amateur Arc welding skills and VOILA!!!!

And finally, I got to install my new headlight kit, some might be jealous ( dobo ), some might detest it ( Paul ) but i got to install those:D
