My little Fiori

Post by guyph_01 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 11:54 pm

Ok so got another Subaru. This time its a Fiori... Never had one of them before.

This is how it looked when i got it

Image

And this is what it looks now

Image

LOL, No i'm kidding, I got the first one to wreck and then came across the second one. I then got as many parts on the first one that i could still use and got the second ready for the pits. Will try to go this week.
The plan is to use it as the daily and hopefully not end up squashed in it in case of an accident!!

Image

Might mod it a bit, Will have to go read again what people have done on here:)

Haha my old car club made one of these into a dB drag car... was pretty extreme, until a street driven excel beat it...

Cheers, Stretch.

and the interest in the Fioris dizzy is ..... a perfect mate for an EJ22 without an ECU ?

I stumbled upon a whole one at a yard today, stuffed if I know why I entertained the thought of asking how much ..... in an effort to beat a mates fuel economy on LPG :D

Yep with a litlle bit of sorcery you can run the EJ22 with the Fiori dizzy and a carby. It is believed to be a better match and is way smaller than any Escort dizzy, apart from the escort turbo dizzy which has no vacuuum advance.

now we are just spamming up guys Fiori thread :)

Yes Jonno, this is what I used when I built one about 15 years ago.

I'd would be interested in this one at the yard.. if you don't mind?

Ok I'll admit you got me on the two first images believing it was the same car - I was dumbfounded yet impressed that you went to the effort to add decals down the side of the car - showed Mrs El Freddo and she was very impressed - we both wondered how Guyph found the time, energy and skill to do such an impressive job.

Then I smelt a rat - and read what I thought below the images. Damn phone's small screens!

Either way, pretty impressive you found two of them Guyph, I think I've only ever seen one in a parts yard - I've seen more sherpa's on the road and in the yards that I've seen fiori's!

4 speed manual I presume? Lift kit going in or will you be dropping this one on it's guts?

Cheers

Well, I will have a look to see if there is an engine to start with, and won't hurt (much) to ask about it or its dizzy ...but I was also bent over an EJ22 just beside it, thinking got so much on my plate at the moment except coin !

The wrecker/customer relationship is a little strained due to what remains a partly dismembered Brumby tray in an attempt to rescue inner guards for a certain unnamed member ..NLR

Bennie.. I think (I use this term loosely) he'll leave it stock as a daily driver. These little beasts run on coke cap of fuel a week. I'm think a nice set of mags and tinting is all it needs. I think it's a 5 speed, I think the shepa was 4 speed??

Jonno.. that would be great but don't stress if it's not possible. Cheers
