Brumby Sketchup ...

Post by Bantum » Sun Sep 22, 2013 9:48 pm

While I was doing the XV Ute, I found a Brumby ... ;)

Image

I have now mashed it up into Sketchup form & can be found here :

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... evstart=12

It's still a bit rough & needs reworking ... Will post some pictures of it later ... :)

Also have done this :

Image

Working towards making it a completed Series II model ...

Post by Bantum » Tue Sep 24, 2013 12:05 am

There aren't a lot of drawings / blueprints / sketches etc. of the Brumby out there, but I did fid this though :

Image

Note : This image was taken from Tamiya Base ...

I might see if I can transfer this into a CAD format ... ;)

P.S. - If you do know of, or have seen other Brumby / BRAT drawings - let us know ... :)

Cheers, Bantum ...

Add : Doh - Tamiya Inc. has instructed TamiyaBase.com to no longer distribute their manuals to enthusiast. http://tamiyabase.com/index.php?option= ... 776#manual

So have to reposted it :

Post by Bantum » Tue Apr 28, 2015 11:50 pm

Ok - I've now done a basic transfer of all the above into a 2D CAD file :

Image

The pdf file of this can also be found on here : '85 Brumby 'Sport'

Next thing to do is convert the above drawing into a 3D model ... :D

Sorry - it might take a while though .. :(

Scaled ...

Post by Bantum » Sat Jun 20, 2015 12:37 am

Thanks Bennie ....

The 3D model will be made available on 3D warehouse when finished. ( might take a while though ) Then you can decide what scale to print it out at ... :)

I'm also working on making a mould for vacuum forming it in 1/10 scale. Still gota finish all the other bits before I get round to though ... :(

One thing at a time as they say ...

I need a 3D printer for that last badge!

That'd be awesome on the tailgate - not that I really need it with the plates I've got...

Ha - I have plenty of it apparently ... ( still on waiting list to have my back op ) Not enough of the other stuff though ... :D

Thanks, it wasn't specifically a delete ... ( more like an omission ) I'm intending to put something back on the roof / roll bar - more to come on that later ... ;)

okay Bantum !! That is what I am looking at for front guard recesses, now probably should have requested you print them in just one material so they look a little different, sort of low sheen, metallic colour, satin chrome look - titanium like that fellas new jaw piece !!

Another bright idea of mine for 3D printing - orthotics !

More 3D stuff ...

Post by Bantum » Mon May 02, 2016 2:39 am

Have finished working on the 3D printer, but still have more to do on the scanner ( yet to get it working correctly ) + hope to have it finished soon.

Will try & post some pictures later, if I can get photo bucket to work that is ... :/

Edit : Draft Paper model :

Yep - so wanted a scale model that looked like real one, but could not find any so had to go about making my own - It's taking a while to get there though ...

Add: Update :

P.S. - I found a new 'google' web photo host, as I've reached the limits set within 'Photo bucket' & can't do what I'd like with the account anymore ( I'm not paying for shit ) So will have to go back though all my threads & reload stuff ...

can't one just start a new gmail account like MrBantum@gmail.com and feed that into photobucket as a new client that no pay for sh!t and start again? PB has got so slow, keeps dumping a stupid bear offering cheap holidays in a hidden pop up and then my protection software sometimes alerts me to sh!t going on soon after. Coincidence of course!

Google's web host ...

Post by Bantum » Tue May 03, 2016 11:11 am

Yep already tried that trick, only so many times you can do that before going over account limit of 2 GB ...

I also got sick of slow service & adds so looked around to see what else there was - Google offers free hosting, with unlimited amounts - so will give them a try & see how it goes ...

Add : Have since found out that you must 'share' the album so that others can see your pictures - Doh ...
