Why don't we start a "sister thread" where members can throw around some ideas as to what engine size - gearbox (& ratios) - diff and wheel/tyre sizes etc. to complement Bantum's efforts. Bantum can then send Nick Senior a complete package and we can keep our fingers crossed.

Top effort Bantum on the casting - taking it that one step further! Next would be a real life size clay model? How could subaru turn that away?

Why not just do it here? As I've said on facebook:

Three engine options - NA petrol, turbo petrol, turbo diesel (when they sort out the problems!) with two gearbox options - dual range 6 speed manual (2:1 low range ratio) and 5 spd auto. Diff ratios? Well, the 4.11:1 goes pretty good in the forester size tyre setup... Auto diff ratio, well, what ever they want because I'm not interested in an auto

They should also offer a 3 inch factory lift option

Now, can someone do this with the L series ute I've always wanted to building using a wagon floor, the coupe doors & 1/2 panel (not sure what it's called but the fixed panel between the B pillar & rear arches)?

I won't go into all the details, but is worth noting that :

'We can confirm however that we have submitted feedback to Fuji Heavy Industries of Japan, the manufacturer of our vehicles.'

So will wait & see if Subaru Japan Responds ...

Firstly and most importantly.. great job on the model, looks awesome

Personally I wouldn't have used the XV as the base car, as this is very limited to the 2.0 litre NA option. I would rather see the Forester used as I think most people (including farmers) would rather this in the Diesel range. The Forester is also available in 2.0 litre turbo or NA and 2.5 litre engines.

IMO the forester is way too big these days.

Kudos to you Bantum! I hope there's a positive response from Subaru Japan!

Maybe it'll be in the form of a job on their design team
