Watching with interest! Want to see what you do where that old embossed strip used to be on the upper half, since you can't replicate the embossing. Looking for ideas for my interior ;)

Hmmm... Interesting. I'll be keen to see what you end up with.

Will your panels have that spongy foam stuff under the cover or will you glue it straight to the panel?

Padding ...

The masking tape in previous photo was a rough outline of a 'break line' in different coloured vinyls ... :)
( See earlier sketch for concept )

Add : Going back over this, found it had gone missing again - So here is the proposed door layout :

Image

Haven't got round to the next bit of putting it all together - but had thought of taking it to an upholster to get some 'stitching' done ... ;)

The white foam wadding is to go on lower door half ( Spray glued to carpet ? ) & the double sided sticky padding goes on top half of door ... 8)

Note : The Green covered stuff is the same as used on Center console & The green plastic peels off when your ready to stick it ... :p

Might do some more sketching to complete the 'back' & side interior ... :D

Brumby Wiring Diagrams ...

Nothing really new to add here, but I did find a wiring diagram for the earlier 1980 BRAT :

downloads.php?do=file&id=131

I'm still trying to find one for MY '85 Brumby - Failing that, I'm working on a drawing mash up - based on all the others I have found ... ;)

I will post the result here when done ... :D ( might take a while though )

I have a brumby wiring diagram in one of the Gregory's manuals at work. Ill take a pic if you want?
I used it to identify all the feeds going to the plugs for the cluster. My goal is to wire in an L-Series anologue 4 gauge cluster with tacho :P
Managed to find the inputs for the plugs on that with a US diagram online. Took hours of searching though.

Thanks Taza,

Yep I already have that - same as this one : http://webmonkees.com/art/sub/85bratwires.jpg

Will keep looking out for others, but my aim is to make my own that is fit for purpose ... :p

Will share when completed, but again - don't expect it anytime soon ... :p

Thanks to Willy for finding this :

downloads.php?do=file&id=133

Do you know what book its from ?

Add : Did a side by side comparison & interesting to note how much simpler the Aussie Brumby is than the US BRAT ... :)

Still looking for a Gen II wiring diagram though ... :(

Nice side skirts mate!

Why would you go with that steering wheel?? Personally I like the "series two" style steering wheel... but that's just me, hence the question!

Yes, those 6 gauge clusters

Yeah thanks Bennie ... :D

The side steps & steering wheel were a 'find' from some 'picking' session near Ipswich. It's same wheel as I have in the touring wagon, so got it for spares + looks ok, so might clean it up & put it in the brumby for something different ... :)

Re clusters - I must have just missed out on a few 1/2 dozen or so to date - as they keep selling them before I can even get a bid in ...

Do keep an eye out & give us a heads up if you come across some, as I'm not the only one who's looking for 'em ... ;)

No worries mate, I can tell you that I'll be grabbing any I see out there, complete with the dashboard if possible ;) They're becoming few and far between in the parts yards though!
