So when I was taking apart the new Analogue dash I thought I could hear something rattling around inside, so when I eventually dug out all the loose bits I found this :

Image

Don't know how long it's been like that, some time I'd say ...
Add : F*ck knows how it got like that too ... !

So got to cleaning it up & stuck it back together :

Image

Will be interesting to see if it holds :

Image

If not I'll be looking for another one I guess ...

So while I'm here, what should I wind these babies to ?

Image

Thinking they should match the same mileage from what is currently showing on the old one ...

+ cleaned up some of the other gauges :

Image

I should be getting some time to work on removing the old dash over the Christmas period to swap these over ... :D

Ouch! I knew those plastic backing whatsits would be brittle, is that one for the speedo? to find a replacement would be about as hard as finding the analogue dash to begin with! :(

I'm going to wind my clock round to what the original car was showing when I took it off the road, just for continuity ;)

That's what I've done with all my dash swaps - wound the clock to the current reading on the dash being replaced.

I used and air gun to whiz through the k's ;)

I like those 'bling' washers! Not sure about the "for off road use only" warning?? You'll be in big trouble if you drive on the road with them!! haha

Yes only saw that after I'd opened it, so can't really do much about that now ... :(

I'll not be using it for holding much weight, as I think they are covering themselves from claims if something goes pare shaped ... ;)

Well that's one way to get a low range light! Very nice work, going above and beyond

BUT! there's an error! The factory low range light says "Lo" not "Low" !!!
Actually yours looks better, with the wheel diagrams as well.

And those door cards, I can tell those are going to be seriously nice :o Would you mind terribly if I copied them for my wagon? I'll pay royalties honest!!

Yeah, my thoughts were when I did the first draft ( which was same as the original ) that it didn't 'look right' + something was missing, so ended up making it slightly different with few tweaks that I wanted & made it look as if it came from factory ...

P.S - Added a few extra details to the headlight as well ( just in case you missed it ) ... ;)

Painted the back in black :

& Peeled the cover to reveal :

I'll have to see how it turns out & post some more pictures when I get round to installing it ... :)
