Gday
Once again I’m back
The question
Where would I find a 72 degree thermostat housing for my ‘92 Brumby? (Fitting power steering of course)
Possible websites
(I am aware the SUBARINO stopped making them)
Located in Western Vic
Can travel to Adelaide or Melbourne
Any help is also appreciated
Cheers MOAM

Re: 72 degree thermostat housing for an EA81
G’day MOAM,
That items is a hard to find item these days as it’s a discontinued item from aftermarket. Subarino never made them, just sourced them
One way around this fitment of the PS pump is to make a block that sits under the thermostat housing with the smaller neck to clear the back of the pump. Run longer bolts and two gaskets. Make sure the thermostat is held in place by the block.
Alternatively, cut and shut your stock housing to have a longer neck, or have a custom housing fabricated with the length you need to clear that PS pump. You’ll need someone with ally welding experience and skills for this.
Cheers
Bennie
